Detailed Scholarship Programs

  1. IsDB Scholarship Program for Muslim Communities in Non Member Countries (SPMC): Launched in 1983, the SPMC targets academically meritorious and financially challenged young Muslim students from non Member Countries (non-MCs). It supports undergraduate studies in crucial fields such as medicine, engineering, computer sciences, information technology, agriculture and related disciplines.
  2. IsDB Master of Science Scholarship Program (M.Sc.): Initiated in 1998, the M.Sc. Scholarship Program focuses on assisting 20 IsDB Least Developed Member Countries (LDMCs) in developing their human capital, particularly in science and technology. The program aims to address the specific needs of these countries for sustainable development.
  3. IsDB Merit Scholarship Program for High Technology (MSP): Commencing in 1992, the MSP is dedicated to advanced studies and research offering three year Ph.D. programs and six to twelve month post doctorate opportunities. The program emphasizes 16 applied science and high technology areas deemed crucial for the development of IsDB Member Countries (MCs).
  4. IsDB-ISFD Scholarship Program: Launched in 2019 in collaboration with the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), this program targets poverty reduction in 21 Least Developed IsDB Member Countries (LDMCs). It provides educational opportunities for academically gifted but financially disadvantaged individuals to pursue bachelor studies or technical diplomas in various fields.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the IsDB/Turkiye Scholarships, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria including financial need, age limit (maximum 24 years), not being an IsDB staff member or close relative, completion of senior secondary education with good grades in major science subjects, language proficiency, medical fitness and admission to a recognized college or university.
